Did you miss Kate Bekinsale? If you did, then here she is, looking as stylish as ever. And as skinny as ever, might I add.

Now we know that if you are stylish and, on top of that, you are also skinny, then you must, MUST grab a (large) Starbucks delight, causing us headaches and making us question over and over again: “what is she drinking? she is so skinny!”, following the Mary-Kate and Nicole Richie-style. But judging by the size of Kate’s thighs, we can only assume that she’s got low-fat, no sugar coffee in that cup.

In case you were ever wondering “What does Kate Beckinsale do to look that good?”, yet you weren’tinterested to read thesame old high in protein / low in carbs, generic diet that tabloids claim all celebrities with skinny bodies follow, here are Kate’s own words about what she does to look like her fit and fab self:

Kate Beckinsale admits she isnt always confident about her body. Im entirely normal. I have my good days and my bad days, she tells the December issue of British Elle. I am a lot more body confident now Im in my 30s and am in better shape, too. When she was in her 20s, she says she didnt have a clue about healthy eating. Id eat a small breakfast and lunch and then have a baked potato for dinner and feel really horrible, she says. Now my typical daily diet is eggs or oatmeal for breakfast, a chicken or vegetable wrap for lunch, then fish and vegetables for dinner.

But if someone turns up with cupcakes mid-afternoon, Ill have one, she continues. Im not aiming to be Gisele. And Id hate to be one of those people who wont allow themselves a slice of birthday cake. She says she is amazed that people obsess over my body image so much. Why do we encourage this war on womens bodies? Its a horrendous way to live, and I refuse to. Going to the gym can be tough, she admits.

I just cant make it part of my daily life, says the star. I go to the gym when I have to, and if I have to bulk up or slim down for a film, I will. Ive recently got back into exercising four times a week. I run for half an hour at a time but never outdoors, as I dont exercise in public, she says. My gyms in my garage at home.

Real Kate Versus Photoshopped Kate!

Dear photo editors,

Allow me to ask:Do youlove your job so much that you end up doing it (your job, that is) even when it is SO NOT necessary? Like in Kate’s case right here. You see, Kate’s got an amazing body, a body which besides being amazing, is also REAL. I’m not the only one saying so, I’ve got a website called www.skinnyvscurvy.com and my readers are saying the same thing (people, back me up here), while their jaws drop at the sight of Kate’sfigure - REAL figure, excuse my repetition.

Also, we would really like to know why you attempted to metamorphose Kate’s hips from convex to concave, why you had to liquify (yes, I know the terms) her (already small) waist into something that would usually require extracting a rib or why you felt the need to take an inch (or two) from her thigh and use the same inch (or two, or three) to extend her legs.

But I guess we should all look at the bright side here: a “Thank You” is in order for not going as dramatic as you didin the “OMG, that’s not her body!”-Jennifer Lopez cover. So thank you,but next time, please don’t equip yourself withas many Photoshop guns toolsandstart awar with Kate’s (or Jennifer’s / or Mariah’s / or-insert curvy girl’s name- )curves.
